Organized To Promote Excellence In Education
 

Incorporated in September 1995 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Education Foundation has established a long record of fostering creative and innovative educational techniques.  The center point of the Foundation’s efforts has been in the awarding of Mini-Grants to teachers whose submitted applications demonstrate a particularly interesting program for their students.

 

Past project titles offer an insight to these programs:

 

  • Fun With Fractions - Designed to connect to real world experiences
  • A Study of Ancient Egypt - Including a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art
  • All Things American - Highlighting American Idioms
  • A New Mascot Plaque for School- Students will integrate Fine Arts Skill with Vocational Arts in the making of a new School Symbol.
  • Metacognition Thinking Tool Kit – Teaching students how to think so they can compete in the global workplace they will enter.
